CoinTracker CSV export format

This is the format reference for CoinTracker CSV export — where the file comes from, what each column means, and the export quirks that matter. Our parser reads the layout(s) below and converts it in your browser.
Layout evidence: Format per CoinTracker’s own CSV docs ("Convert your transaction history to CoinTracker CSV" + import-error reference) — see research/parser-fixture-validation-2026-10.md.
How to export the file
- CoinTracker → export your transaction history CSV (same column layout as their import template).
- The file uses US date order and CoinTracker’s tag vocabulary — both below.
Column reference
Transaction-history CSV
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
Date | Required — MM/DD/YYYY, optional 24-hour time suffix. |
Received Quantity / Received Currency | Incoming leg. |
Sent Quantity / Sent Currency | Outgoing leg. |
Fee Amount / Fee Currency | Fee leg. |
Tag | CoinTracker’s tag vocabulary — empty on trades/transfers; values like staking_reward and airdrop mark income rows. |
Format quirks
- Date is MM/DD/YYYY — US order, not ISO.
- Every row carries the Sent pair, the Received pair, or all four — deposit, withdrawal, and trade map one-for-one onto that shape.
- Tag must match CoinTracker’s vocabulary exactly; known income tags (staking_reward, airdrop) map to rewards and anything else passes through as a label rather than being retyped.
