Binance CSV export format
parser liveThis is the format reference for Binance CSV export (trade history / account statement) — where the file comes from, what each column means, and the export quirks that matter. Our parser reads the layout(s) below and converts it in your browser.
Layout evidence: Headers and cell shapes from rotki issue #7647 (real exported rows), BittyTax’s Binance parsers, and public export examples — see research/parser-fixture-validation-2026-10.md.
How to export the file
- Log in to Binance → Orders → Spot Order → Trade History (for the fills file) — or Wallet → Transaction History → "Generate all statements" (for the account statement).
- Choose CSV format and a date range covering your tax year, then generate.
- Download the archive and unzip it — the .csv inside is the file to convert.

Fee | Fee amount with its asset packed in the cell, e.g. "0.0004790000ETH". |
Spot Order History (older order export)
Different report, still emitted; an earlier variant uses Market/Type/Fee Coin names.

Format quirks
- Amount cells in the current Trade History export carry the asset inside the cell ("0.0010000000ETH") — the parser splits number+asset; plain-decimal cells are handled too.
- Trade History and Order History are different reports — both are accepted, and Order History rows only count as trades when the status is FILLED/COMPLETED.
- In the statement export a buy/sell is two rows — a +Change and a −Change sharing one UTC_Time — which the parser pairs into a single trade.
- Statement Operation vocabulary is wide: dust conversions ("Small assets exchange BNB"), "Stablecoins Auto-Conversion", ETH2 staking legs, and Binance Card spending each type differently. Known names map; unfamiliar ones surface in the notes instead of being silently dropped.
- Futures and margin account rows (USDT-Futures, Coin-M Futures, CrossMargin/Isolated Margin) appear in the same statement — they are not spot disposals and are flagged for review.
- Convert-history, deposit-history, and withdrawal-history exports are separate Binance files with their own headers — the dedicated adapter targets the trade and statement layouts; unrecognized files get an explicit error, not a guess.
⚠ A few rarer Operation names in statements still mistype (documented in the validation research) — the parser flags rather than fixes them; confirm the typing in the preview notes.
