Reconcile a 1099-DA against your exchange history

in development

Your 1099-DA shows proceeds; your exchange CSV history holds the basis — and nothing reconciles the two. This report is planned to diff the form against your converted history: flagging disposals missing from your records, proceeds that don’t match, and lots with no basis — before they become IRS-mismatch letters.

Status: planned — the reconciliation writer (per-type counts, per-asset movement totals, missing-basis/proceeds/date flags) is live and golden-tested; the remaining piece is the PDF extractor.

Why this page exists

Every (source × target) pair gets its own working converter page. This pair is queued: f1099da-pdf → 1099-DA reconciliation report. PDF sources additionally need the server-side extraction endpoint (NEEDS-SERVER).

Working today: Binance CSV → Koinly, Coinbase CSV → TXF, Koinly CSV → TXF. See the full list.

FAQ

What does the report flag?

Proceeds mismatches per disposal, 1099-DA rows absent from your history, history rows absent from the form, and every disposal lacking a basis figure.

What files do I need?

The 1099-DA PDF plus exchange CSV exports covering the same tax year — the CSVs convert through this site’s existing source adapters.

Does it amend or correct anything?

No — it produces a workpaper. Differences go to your tax software or preparer to resolve.

When will it be available?

It's in the adapter queue — the page goes live once its remaining adapter ships, verified against a real export. Until then it stays marked planned and out of search indexes.
