Convert a Gate.io CSV to the Koinly format
working converterGate.io’s account-statement export (the billing/ledger CSV with action_desc rows) uses a layout nothing else reads. This rebuilds it — deposits, withdrawals, order fills grouped per event, interest, airdrops, dust swaps — into Koinly’s universal template. In-browser; nothing uploads.
How it works
- Export the file from your exchange or tool (Gate.io → Wallet → account billing/statement detail → export CSV (action_desc ledger).).
- Drop it above — the parser identifies the format and shows every transaction.
- Check the preview and notes, then download the Koinly CSV template file.
- Import it into your tax software and verify the totals.
FAQ
Which export does it take?
The account billing/statement CSV (columns: no, time, action_desc, action_data, type, change_amount, amount, total) — Gate.io → Wallet → account/billing detail export. Trade rows are grouped back into single trades by their shared order id.
What about actions the parser doesn’t know?
Unrecognized action_desc rows are kept and flagged with a warning rather than dropped — review them in the preview before importing.
Why convert a file instead of connecting Gate.io to Koinly directly?
Koinly can sync Gate.io via API — this converter is for people importing a file: revoked API access, partial syncs, or wanting every row checked before it lands.
What does the output look like?
Koinly's universal template columns: Date, Sent/Received amounts + currencies, Fee, Net Worth, Label, Description, TxHash — import it under Koinly's custom-CSV option.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No — parsing, conversion, and the download all run in this tab with JavaScript. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
What are the free limits?
The preview shows every parsed row. Downloads are complete for files up to 100 transactions; larger files download the first 25 rows. A paid pack removes the cap.
