Convert a crypto CSV for TaxAct or H&R Block

working converter
🔒 Files stay in your browser — nothing is uploaded

TaxAct and H&R Block desktop editions import the same TXF format as TurboTax Desktop — the trick is getting your exchange CSV into it. Drop the file below: the parser auto-maps common column layouts, then emits a spec-valid TXF (V042, Form 8949 records). Runs entirely in your browser.

How it works

  1. Export the file from your exchange or tool.
  2. Drop it above — the parser identifies the format and shows every transaction.
  3. Check the preview and notes, then download the TXF (TaxAct / H&R Block) file.
  4. Import it into your tax software and verify the totals.

FAQ

Do TaxAct and H&R Block really take TXF?

Yes — the desktop products import TXF files. The online products don’t expose the same path.

Will my file’s columns be recognized?

The mapper knows the common spellings — date/timestamp, sent/received or buy/sell amount+asset, total/proceeds, fee. Unmappable columns flag warnings instead of dropping rows silently.

What about basis?

Emitted when your export states it, blank and flagged when it doesn’t — per the TXF spec.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No — parsing, conversion, and the download all run in this tab with JavaScript. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

What are the free limits?

The preview shows every parsed row. Downloads are complete for files up to 100 transactions; larger files download the first 25 rows. A paid pack removes the cap.
